Protecting the Integrity of the Certification Process

IAAI Institute maintains rigorous policies to ensure the fairness, security, and integrity of all IAAI Certification Exams. These policies apply across all certification levels (Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3). All candidates are required to review and accept these policies during the registration process. Violation of these policies may result in disqualification, exam invalidation, suspension, or permanent ineligibility.

To register for any IAAI certification exam, candidates must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Agree to the IAAI Code of Conduct and Candidate Ethics Policy

  • Not be currently suspended or prohibited from participating in certification programs by any professional standards body

Eligibility and Registration

There are no academic or work experience prerequisites to sit for the Level 1 exam.

Exam Scheduling and Appointments

  • Candidates are responsible for selecting their exam date and time via the proctoring portal

  • Scheduling is first-come, first-served

  • Exam access is granted via secure login credentials

  • Exams are administered online through a monitored, browser-locked testing environment

Rescheduling and Missed Exams

  • Missed or incomplete exams are not eligible for refund, deferral, or credit

  • Rescheduling is allowed up to 72 hours in advance for a USD $125 fee

  • Complete system check in advance

  • Use webcam, microphone, and browser-lock software

  • Present valid government ID at login

  • Remain visible and audible at all times

  • Follow all proctoring instructions

Violations include (but are not limited to):

  • Leaving the camera view

  • Using unauthorized devices or materials

  • Receiving outside assistance

  • Attempting to access exam content outside the authorized session

  • Fee: USD $197 per retake

  • No waiting period; re-registration required

  • Maximum: 12 attempts per 12-month period

  • Valid for 12 months

  • USD $297 annual renewal fee

  • Ethics and standards attestation required

  • Non-renewal results in removal from directory and revocation of digital credentials

Technical Disruptions

Technical Disruptions

In the event of a technical failure, candidates must:

  • Notify proctoring support immediately

  • Attempt to resume the session if directed

  • Submit a written incident report within 24 hours to support@iaai.org

Partial exam completions are reviewed case-by-case. Retakes or free deferrals are not guaranteed unless the disruption is caused by platform failure.
