Everything you need to know about the IAAI exams — from what differentiates each level to what to expect on exam day.
The IAAI exam is a three-part qualification — Level I, Level II, and Level III. Each level builds on the knowledge and applied skills of the previous one, moving from core automation concepts to advanced governance and enterprise-scale deployment.
Passing all three levels earns you the IAAI Certified Integration Architect™ (CIAI) designation — a globally-recognised credential that signals mastery of applied artificial-intelligence integration.

There are several key milestones on the journey to your IAAI exam. Alongside studying the official curriculum and completing your Practical Skills Module, be sure to:
Review the Exam Guide – download the Level-specific guide for an outline of domains, weightings, and timing.
Create your Candidate Portal profile – this is where you will register, schedule, and view results.
Confirm technical requirements – verify the hardware, software, and internet specifications for the remote–proctored delivery platform (or your chosen test centre).
Plan study blocks – map out focused sessions that align with the domain weightings; many candidates target 120–150 hours per level.
Complete the Practice Pack drills – full-length mock exams and domain quizzes help identify weak spots before exam day.
Registration is completed in the Candidate Portal and includes two steps:
Register & pay – select your desired exam window (four windows offered each year for Level I; two windows for Levels II and III).
Schedule your appointment – choose an available date and time at your preferred test centre or select the remote-proctoring option.
Important: Appointments are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. You must lock in a slot before the scheduling deadline for your chosen window.
You will receive an email confirmation with your admission ticket and detailed check-in instructions as soon as scheduling is complete.
Identification – a current passport or national ID is required on exam day.
Calculator policy – only the approved scientific models listed in the Exam Guide may be used.
Code of Ethics acknowledgement – every candidate must accept the IAAI Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct during registration.
Technical check – if testing remotely, run the secure-browser system test on the same device you will use for the exam.
Exam deferral policy – understand key dates for rescheduling or deferring, should an emergency arise.
IAAI offers multiple ways to practise – all housed inside the Learning Ecosystem, the digital platform candidates use to study and access the curriculum:
Practice questions – end-of-chapter drills for every reading in the curriculum.
Mock exams – one full-length mock that replicate exam-day timing and difficulty.
Optional Practice Pack – an add-on with extra domain quizzes, analytics dashboards, and unlimited retakes.
Consistent practice under timed conditions is one of the best predictors of success on exam day.
